2016 Guide to Trick or Treating in Central Florida

Get ready for Halloween sweets and treats with our list of special events to go trick or treating in Orlando! These are kid-friendly events that include trick or treating around town. What are you going to be for Halloween?


Central Florida Zoo Boo Bash!

When: Oct. 22 and 23, Oct 29 and 30
Where: 3755 US-17, Sanford, FL 32771
Admission: This event is included in general Zoo admission; additional fees may apply for certain activities.
Activities: Trick-or-treat in the wildest neighborhood in town during ZOO Boo Bash. It’s a safe, fun, and not-too-scary event for young and old alike. Kids are invited to bring goody bags and wear costumes for trick or treat stations.

  • Special book reading of The Skeleton in the Closet –  A Halloween Tradition by local author Chad Shea at 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
  • Costume Contest: 1:00 p.m. each day
    • Animal themed costumes – one for under 5 years of age and one for 6 to 12 year olds
    • Non-animal themed costumes – one for under 5 years of age and one for 6 to 12 year olds
    • Group costumes – all ages

Green Meadows Farm Pumpkin Patch

When: Everyday in October, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 1368 South Poinciana Blvd. Kissimmee, FL 34746
Admission: $23 for adult or child, Free for children under 2, $19 for senior citizens, $21 for Florida residents
Activities: Guided tour of Green Meadows Farm, kid-friendly “Ooky-Spooky” haunted house on weekends, which features 13 rooms of not-so-scary fun and laughs

Children’s Halloween Fun Day – Oct. 26
Real live pig races, costume parade, tiny trucks and tractors corn box, “Ooky-Spooky” haunted house, a dig in the hay for prizes


Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

When: September 02 – October 31, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Where: Magic Kingdom Park
Walt Disney World® Resort
Activities: Dress up in your favorite costume and collect delicious candy throughout Magic Kingdom park. You’ll see many favorite Disney Characters dressed in their very own Halloween costumes!


SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular

When: This event runs weekends, October 1-30, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: 7007 Sea World Drive, Orlando, FL 32821
Activities: Event takes place every weekend in October for silly spooky fun at SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular®. During this daytime event, children and adults alike will be immersed in an underwater “fantasea” filled with trick-or-treating, dancing with sea fairies and pumpkin fish and kids can create sea-themed arts and crafts.


Halloween Hustle 5K

Where: Baldwin Park
When: Thursday, Oct. 13, 5 p.m to 10 p.m.
Activities: Event features a 5K run/walk (6:30 p.m.), Kids’ Fun Run (5:45 p.m.) and Halloween party with activities for adults and children alike. From trick-or-treating and Halloween-themed carnival games to live entertainment, food trucks and adult beverages for those over 21, the frightening festivities are fit for all ages. Costumes for the evening are strongly encouraged.


Halloween Carnival of Screams

When: Riverside Park, Oviedo
When: Friday, Oct. 28th and Saturday, Oct. 29th, 5-10 p.m.
Activities: Costume contests, games, music, hay ride, haunted house! Friday evening event is Haunted House Only, 5-10 p.m.


The Haunt at Old Towne

When: Sept 23 – Oct 31  from 8:00pm – midnight
Where: 5770 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Admission: Haunted Houses: $6 each; single entry
Scare Combo: $10; includes single entry in Haunted Houses
Zombie Tag: First game: $25 each, with $10 rebate upon badge return
$6 for each additional game
HAUNT Combo: $55 each. with $10 rebate upon badge return
Includes single admission to both Haunted Mazes (Warehouse X, Clown Town) a single game of Zombie Tag, & Limited Edition HAUNT Shirt
Activities: Experience a haunting unlike any other.  Immerse yourself in a world of bloodcurdling horror and nightmarish madness at The Haunt at Old Town.  Featuring scare zones, haunted houses, and the all-new Zombie Tag – a new interactive experience where guests try their hand at surviving a zombie apocalypse.


Spooky Skate

Where: RDV Sportsplex, Orlando
When: Saturday, October 29th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Admission: Admission for this extended ice skating event is $11.25 including tax and ice skate rental.
Activities: Spooky Skate is open to everyone and skaters are encouraged to wear a costume and save $1 off admission! Spooky Skate includes ice skating, “spooky” music, a costume contest, candy, games and fun.

    Great article! Just a quick update: Mickey s not so scary is not included with park admission. It is a separate ticketed event.

    Is there going to be trick or treating on Monday night in Baldwin Park? Oct 31st?
