Bacon-Wrapped Stuffing Balls

Bacon-Wrapped Stuffing Balls
Bacon-Wrapped Stuffing Balls

2 Tbsp butter
1 box stove top stuffing
½ c chopped onion
1/4 c finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 pinch pepper
1 large egg, beaten
12 slices or more bacon

1. Sauté the butter, celery, garlic, and onion until translucent along with the garlic and pepper.
2. Add this mixture to the stuffing, which you prepare according to the instructions on the box, except for adding the beaten egg to that stuffing mixture.
3. Form the stuffing mixture into balls about the size of a standard meatball.
4. Wrap uncooked bacon (about ½ a slice) around the ball and secure it with a toothpick.
5. Repeat this til all stuffing has been made into balls.
6. Place all balls on a baking sheet that has a lip (so the bacon grease doesn’t drip into the oven) and bake at 400 for about 15 minutes. Keep checking it because bacon cooking times will vary depending on the thickness of the bacon and how much you used per ball.
7. Once the bacon has been crisped, take the balls out and serve along with your other Thanksgiving traditional dishes.
