I have a confession, but my guess is I’m not alone: I do not drink enough. Well, nothing that hydrates me anyway. I have always had a hard time drinking enough water, and I really hate sports drinks. Their unpronounceable ingredients, artificial colors, and questionable “enhancers”? No thanks. I remember choking down that highlighter-colored stuff back in my much more athletic days, and it always tasted so artificial (…because it was). I try to keep our food and drink pretty clean, so that means keeping out commercial sports drinks whenever possible.
Until I found BodyArmor. From the minute I started reading the label, I was excited: natural flavors and sweeteners, electrolytes packed with potassium, tons of vitamins (200% RDI of B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, and 100% RDI of A, C, and E), and it is made with 10% coconut water. I am not ashamed to say I barely waited for them to chill in the fridge before I cracked one open.
The Real Test
My daughter is a juice fiend (naturally), so she immediately wanted some of that yummy new drink—and she loved it! She just knew she liked the taste, but I liked the fact that it steers clear of weird artificial colors and sweeteners while including what she really needs. We are not a super-sporty family, but we do spend time outside walking, swimming, and playing. I know how important it is to for my daughter to stay hydrated—and how hard it can be to get her to suck down water. BodyArmor is a great, natural sports drink that we can all enjoy without any guilt. My personal favorite is the Blackout Berry, tasting like a blackberry and blueberry combo, but my husband loved the orange mango, and my daughter just liked all of them.
Our family is officially ditching artificial and switching to natural with BodyArmor. I am happy to add this great alternative to our fridge to make sure our family stays hydrated without sacrificing our health standards. Have you tried BodyArmor yet? Let us know what you think!
