Becoming a mom almost 4 years ago has not only been the biggest blessing in my life, it has motivated me to push myself in many ways I probably wouldn’t have before.  This 3 letter word…“Mom”…has made me more confident and more creative. Since day one, I’ve had to become a creative problem solver, whether it’s how to get her to sleep, get her to eat veggies, get her to “follow the rules”, or how to make an everyday task easier.

Needless to say, many parents become product developers and entrepreneurs. There have been many times I come across a product and say to myself “Why didn’t I think of that”?  Let’s be honest, my Friday nights now consist of watching Shark Tank and if you’re like me,  you start planning out the next big idea as soon as the show is over.

In doing a little research I found so many great local resources to help start your own business. So if you have an idea and want to pursue your dream, here are some great sites to visit. I’d also recommend stopping by the National Entrepreneur Center located at the Fashion Square Mall, most of these organizations have satellite offices there.
