Living in the theme park capital of the world is awesome. But sometimes I get tired of $18 parking and $14 chicken nuggets and hours of waiting in line. When we want a family day out that’s a whole lot simpler, we love to visit Stanley Pond Adventure Farm. It’s a little oasis for us. Calm, relaxed, comfortable, and easy. The kids leave tired but happy, and we leave feeling sun-kissed and recharged for a new week ahead. This is a great day out at just the right pace.

For us Lake County folk, Stanley Pond Adventure Farm is right in our backyard. For everyone else, it’s worth the beautiful country drive to Astatula (which is closer than it sounds)! We started visiting the farm when now three-year-old Zadie was just crawling. This year’s visit came with a few surprises. Zadie was ready to ride the “bullicorns” (bulls with horns like unicorns = bullicorns?) alone. She hopped aboard Skippy the Airboat without me. She rode Tacoma all by herself. I didn’t even get on the giant jumping pillow and if I hadn’t been busy holding her brother, I would’ve gone in anyway. That thing is awesome! If you visited the farm in years past, you need to come back. The place has grown!

We have a long-standing fall tradition to do Stanley Pond Adventure Farm’s pumpkin patch and then come back to see Santa. Just as the heat slacks off a bit, they’re ready for their busiest season. Spookley the Square Pumpkin currently rules the farm with photo ops for the kids. Admission includes wagon rides, the giant jumping pillow, cow train rides, airboat and horse rides, fishing at Catfish Junction, Sparky the fire truck, rubber duck races, a small pumpkin to take home, and more. I was impressed with the thoughtfulness that went into making sure kids of all ages would be equally entertained. It’s safe, it’s clean, and everybody at Stanley Pond Adventure Farm wants to make sure the kids have FUN!

Weekends between now and Christmas (check their website for dates and times!) are a great time to check out the farm with the kids. But don’t think the fun stops there — you can book school groups or use the farm to host moms group days. It’s a great place to schedule play dates. Moms can enjoy the lake breeze while the kids hop aboard rides and wear themselves out! The farm is also available for birthday parties and summer camps. This is a great little treasure Orlando moms should know about!

So check out Stanley Pond Adventure Farm this fall, and then we’ll see you there at Christmas time. Be sure to stop me and say hi!
