I love all things holiday & I am a Pinterest addict, so I was super excited to find this simple (& inexpensive) project to do for Valentine’s Day with my little guy.

The first project I did with my little man was a LOVE wall art canvas that I first saw here.  We already had Crayola washable finger paint on-hand at home, and there was some red left in it, so that was a plus! I went to Target and found these new Creativity Canvas’ (also from Crayola ) for $5. I was sold!

I knew this project would be fun for both of us but messy! So, I cut open some paper bags and laid them across the floor for us to sit on. Perfect clean up in case of spills. I also brought some baby wipes over next to us to do a quick wipe up before we headed over to the bathroom for a full wash off, afterwards.

My little guy has done projects like this at school many times, but honestly, this was my 1st time tackling it at home. So, I was winging it a bit. I chose to use a foam brush to spread the paint on his hand & feet. I used a regular paper plate as my paint palate!

The hardest part of the whole process was getting Liam to not wiggle his little toes once the paint was on. He said it tickled!

I let the prints dry overnight, and then I used a paintbrush to draw the letters “L and “E” to complete the word, LOVE. I think this would have also turned out cute on a completely horizontal canvas or paper, as well. What do you think?

We love crafts! I’ve got the next one ready to go, and it’s certain to get our hands messy, too! Be sure to check back in a couple days!
