Ever wonder what to get dad for Father’s Day? Well, instead of getting dad something why not take him somewhere? Orlando is full of fun activities and places to visit, that I know dads would love! Check out these 5 Fun Things To Do In Orlando To Celebrate Father’s Day!

Fathers Day IDEASTake Dad To The Beach

The best things about living in Florida is that everywhere you turn there is an amazing beautiful beach! My hubby used to be an avid surfer and it’s definitely something he has passed on to our girls! Spending the day at the beach with dad is not only relaxing, but it’s definitely a way to spend one on one quality time with dad. The three closest beaches to Orlando are New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa Beach, and Daytona Beach. Our favorite one is New Smyrna’s no driving zone.

Take Dad To A Theme Park

Another great thing about Orlando is that we have amazing theme parks that are perfect for families and to celebrate Father’s Day! In fact this is how we will be celebrating this year! If you’re looking for a day packed with smiles and fun then head on over to Disney, Sea World, or Universal Orlando.

Take Dad On An Air Boat Ride

Living in Florida we have so much nature and natural preserves to explore! One way to explore is by taking an Air Boat Ride up Lake Jesup at Black Hammock Adventures! Reservations are required. Plus, you can also enjoy some gator tacos at their award winning restaurant! You could easily spend the entire day exploring the outdoors!

Take Dad Out For Dinner/Drinks Somewhere Fun

There’s no better way into dad’s heart than with some good food! A fun place to go with an amazing fun atmosphere is the Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe in Downtown Sanford. Not only do they offer delicious authentic German food, but they have an amazing selection of German beers as well. On weekend nights, they have live music complete with singing, yodeling and folk instruments! Make sure to make reservations ahead of time though! It can get very busy on the weekends! TIP: Make sure to order Dad Das Boot!

Take Dad Fishing

Fishing is also a very popular sport for dads at good thing Florida has some great locations. You don’t even need a boat! You can do half days or full days excursions with a personal guide that will take you exactly where you need to be for the best fishing possible. Check out Orlando Bass Fishing Guide for several locations and packages.

Disney also has a fantastic Fishing Guided Tour that we did last week for my husbands birthdays! He absolutely loved it and said that he would love to return soon! We caught about 10 Bass fish and our tour guide Carrie was absolutely phenomenal and knew exactly where to go for a good catch!

I do hope that some of these ideas helps you plan an unforgettable Father’s Day!
