Publisher, editor-in-chief, doula and mom of three, Kristi is one busy momma! After eight years of working as a doula with new and expectant mommas, Kristi launched The Moms Magazine for the moms in Central Florida. The addition of Orlando Moms Blog three years later was a no-brainer as there was a HUGE need for a local blog. Kristi’s connection with the moms of Orlando goes deep. One chat with Kristi and you’ll think of her as your new best friend.

Amanda is a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and moved to Orlando almost 5 years ago. She married her middle-school sweetheart (YES, you read that right! They have been together since they were 14!) and they now have a 12-month-old son! Before making the switch to being a stay-at-home mom, Amanda was a 1st grade teacher. Hobbies help to make her life more interesting. When she’s not sipping her coffee and chasing around a toddler, she enjoys DIY projects, crafting, nature, walks, helping & teaching others, and photography. But most of all she LOVES just spending time with her little family. Here’s a fun fact…Amanda has a huge obsession with children’s books. It must be the teacher in her! Recently Amanda started a blog called Capturing Life’s Gifts where she is documenting her life as a new mom, along with exploring her new DIY hobby. She believes blogging helps her to capture moments of how she’s staying true to herself and also being a mother. She refers to it as the “authentic mom”. Amanda loves all the adventures motherhood brings and she can’t wait to share them with you!

Anne Marie

Contributor | Events Coordinator

Anne Marie is a Pittsburgher at heart who relocated to Orlando during the summer of 2015. As a life-long lover of winter and snow, Anne Marie has learned to worship the sun and sand that Florida has to offer. She got her BA in theatre from Cleveland State University by way of West Liberty University where she met her husband Bill of 10 years during her first production. They have 3 elementary age kids who have more energy than the Energizer Bunny. Anne Marie is the owner/operator of Sharing Spot, a submission site that helps creatives reach a new and engaging audience, the PTA Vice President, and OMB’s social media coordinator. During her “free time” (aka when she should be doing laundry or scrubbing toilets) Anne Marie can be found with a cocktail in her hand, binge watching a new show on TV.

Candace is a native Central Floridian. With no sense of direction, driving anywhere too far out of Winter Springs (where she currently lives) sends her head into a whirl. Her favorite date would probably be takeout from Five Guys and a game of scrabble with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband, Nick. Don’t tell him that though, he likes to spoil her with much fancier things. She spends her days in some weird state between blissfully grateful and absolutely overwhelmed as a mother to three of the cutest Colombianos (Sienna 9, Titus 5, Adella 1). Teenage motherhood launched Candace into a passionate believer in faith, grace, and sucking it up and puttin’ on your big-girl panties. You can count on Candace for a good laugh, a great party, and any decorating tips you may need. She enjoys making all things pretty… except of course, life. That ain’t so pretty and she prefers to share a “me too” rather than just the highlight reel.

You can see more of Candace (in words, and heart, and design) over on: and

A Florida native, Chenoa is originally from Miami but has been living in Maitland for 22 years with a short 2-year break where she lived in (and fell in love with) Raleigh, NC. She’s part “adopted Southern charm” with a streak of feisty Miami girl! She’s Mom to two strong-willed, preemie babies, a 25 weeker and a 35 weeker, who now are thriving big kids (6yr old girl and 3yr old boy). They have led to a hot mess parenting style that’s fueled by coffee to get through the day and wine to try and soothe the nerves at night. She’s married to her college sweetheart who she met at the University of Central Florida (GO KNIGHTS) while studying English-Creative Writing and the fine art of Greek life. She’s a DIY junkie who loves Fixer Upper (of course), loves reading, cooking and writing. When out and about with her husband, sans kids, she loves eating at new local places around Winter Park, enjoying coffee from a favorite local coffee shop or enjoying a date night at Eden Bar in Maitland. Her adventures through motherhood have included recently transitioning from full-time working Mom to stay-at-home Mom, raising a sassy, hilarious little girl and helping her silly little guy navigate some developmental delays that have challenged her to slow down and let him guide her way. She hasn’t lost hope that she can control all the things that parenting brings and her kids haven’t given up trying to prove her wrong. Her husband is the Helicopter Parent to her Free Range which is the perfect topping to the chaos of everyday life! She frequents social media and uses her Instagram to document the fleeting moments of “put-togetherness” that occasionally happen by accident…sometimes.

Crystal is a Florida girl through and through. She grew up in Miami and moved to Orlando 14 years ago at the age of 18. She is married to her husband, Roy, has two beautiful and amazing daughters, Karli (15) and Bellatrix (1). She’s a Staff Assistant in the Criminal Investigations Division at a local police department. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at home and going to Disney. She is always looking for a good book to read so send recommendations her way! She writes a blog with her sister to help encourage and empower women of all shapes and sizes. You can follow their journey at or follow them on Instagram @_pretty_and_plump_

I’m originally from El Paso, Texas and have lived in Orlando since 1995, with the exception of living in Las Vegas from 2006-2009. I have a background in Event and Television/Film production. I was an Event Manager for CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas which was chaired by Dennis Hopper and a talent assistant for the HBO & TBS Comedy Festivals. For CineVegas, I was responsible for planning celebrity red carpet premieres and honoree receptions which included, Charlize Theron, Ben Kingsly, Anthony Hopkins, Anjelica Huston, Don Cheadle to name a few. In Orlando I worked for a sports network for 5 years. If life would have taken me in a different direction I would have become a chef because I love cooking so much (doesn’t mean I’m excellent at it). However, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the best chefs during my time in Las Vegas which was definitely a highlight in my career. My fiancé and I have been together for 7 years but have known each other more than 20. We have a blended family – Miguel has 2 boys (14 yr. old & 11 yr. old) and we have a 3 year old daughter together, so our lives are pretty busy. I’m a working mom just trying to balance it all. I started my blog Modern Latina Mommy because that’s exactly what I feel I am. I want my daughter to be exposed to the Mexican traditions I grew up with, yet give them a modern twist. Her dad is a professional Mariachi at EPCOT so we are definitely a theme park family. My home is filled with music, laughter, a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of love.

Deepa is a proud Indian, called Kuwait home for 22 years, lived in NYC for 6 years and now planting her roots (again) in The City Beautiful. Officially a third culture kid; she speaks Arabic, Malayalam and her adopted language, Spanish. Creole is next on her list. She has a Masters degree in Nutrition from the University of Mysore, India and works for the Florida Department of Health as a Nutritionist for WIC. She has been married to her husband for 11 years and they share a dimpled 5 year old boy, a Tabby and three African cichlids together. She loves to travel, experience local culture, cook ethnic food, play her guitar and watch reruns of Law and Order: SVU. Her Faith is her anchor and Columbian coffee, her liquid sanity. She is passionate about efforts to combat human trafficking and blogs for Florida Abolitionist

Elaine grew up in Stuart, a small South Florida beach town, and moved to Orlando in 2005 to attend UCF. She loved it so much that she spent five years there earning degrees in Language Arts Education and English Literature with a minor in writing. After teaching high school for four years, she decided to put those writing classes to use and work as a writer and editor, as well as a mom to her daughter born in 2014. Her blog, Love + Honey, celebrates everyday simple joys and spaces for creativity in life. She spends every extra minute with her husband enjoying everything downtown Orlando has to offer and taking turns chasing their wily daughter.

Not planned} She was the Director of Marketing and Philanthropy for our local Panera Bread franchise for 7 years before resigning and diving into her passion – philanthropy. She loves to experience different cuisines, pretends to be a true DIY-er, she loves to cook and sew, and watch some sinful TV {Game of Thrones, How to Get Away with Murder, Vikings…you get the point!}. Faith is her foundation and she is fueled by coffee and wine, and typically doused in dry shampoo. Eryn is passionate about giving back to the local community and lives by the words Profit through Purpose and Be the Change. She positively impacts our community through her non profit, the Diaper Bank of Central Florida {that is funded by her online accessories store, Moderne Momma Boutique.} She is the founder of Baby OK, a social enterprise dedicated to preventing child heatstroke deaths by being left in a vehicle. A native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, LuLu moved to Orlando over 25 years ago and currently resides in Downtown Orlando with her amazing chef wife, Naomi and her beautiful daughters, Bella and Shai. LuLu has a paralegal studies degree and after 20 years she ditched the office hours to teach yoga and manage a yoga studio full time. Her journey into motherhood started when she was only 18 years old and most of her days she still feels as lost as she did then! LuLu manages to surf through life with lots of positivity, coffee, wine, cheese, constant belly laughs and the support of her tribe. Writing has always been a great source of happiness and her writing is always centered around uplifting others, letting go of fears, living authentically, loving our flaws and gliding through life with a sense of humor. She spends most of her days running from one place to the next, writing ideas in many sticky pads and receipts, never slowing down for work, but always taking time to kiss her girls, help out anyone in need, and of course a cup of coffee (or 5).

After growing up an Army brat and moving around every four years, Megan and her husband have chosen to make Florida their forever home. Megan recently returned to Central Florida, settling in Winter Park, after spending five years practicing medicine in south Florida. She is a practicing Ob/Gyn physician, wife and mommy to a busy one and a half year old baby boy. After her recent personal experience with pregnancy and postpartum, she decided to write a book (Forgotten Trimester: A Guide to Navigating the Fourth Trimester) and start a blog (Forgotten Trimester) to help encourage, educate and empower women during and after pregnancy. When not working she can be found running and working out or on the local golf course with her son who already has an obsession for golf.

A die hard New England girl with a gypsy spirit, Morgan grew up in Connecticut, but has since lived in North Carolina, Virginia, and now Florida. A proud wife to her U.S. Marine husband, Morgan landed in Florida after her husband was stationed as a recruiter for Lake Mary and Winter Springs, just north of Orlando. Morgan feels that she has earned her Floridian stripes after giving birth to their first child just two days before Hurricane Irma hit central Florida, where her first taste of being a mom involved a category 4 hurricane, power outages, and learning to breastfeed by candlelight. When she isn’t stumbling her way through motherhood, Morgan is at the gym, eating (sometimes, being counterproductive and eating AT the gym,) working as an writer/editor, or chronicling the funnier parts of her life on her blog:

Samantha grew up moving around the country with her family. She finally landed in a little beachy town in South Florida at 14 for high school and spent time in Jacksonville at UNF earning a degree in Communications. She worked in radio briefly before getting married in 2009 and having children in 2010, when she became a SAHM. She moved to Orlando in 2014 for her husband to attend medical school at the UCF College of Medicine. She homeschools her two boys, and is currently pregnant with a baby girl due in September. Samantha is a lover of photography and all things crafty. She has been dubbed a smelly hippie by her husband, due to her patchouli-scented homemade deodorant, among other things. She recently began the art of crocheting, but is struggling to get past hats.

Fun fact: One of her bucket list items is to become a certified doula and lactation consultant. Until then, she adores all things baby and has attended multiple births as an unofficial doula to friends and family. She enjoys writing about her tips and tricks for life as a working mom, parenting little ones while still making time for herself, along with the chaos of motherhood, marriage and living an intentional life.

Your Family: I have two kids, a dreamy husband, a messy house, and a nose for (mis)adventure!
Education: I got my Bachelors Degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). I have moments when post-graduate pursuits appeal to me, then I remember I can’t find time to paint my toenails and that life itself is an excellent education.
Mom Acronym:
WOHM who spent too many years too focused on work and have since fixed the problem. WARNING: I’m the Jerry Maguire of working moms and just might take you with me. Goldfish welcome.
Your Perfect Day: I love a day filled with “adventures about town” — feeding the swans at Lake Eola, perusing a used book store, frequenting our favorite gluten-free-friendly eateries or finding a new local treasure!
Can’t Live Without: My church family. After a few years of not feeling “settled” in Orlando, we joined a church. It made all the difference in helping us feel connected.
Favorite Mom Tip: If you end up needing a C-section, don’t panic! I had a cesarean and then a VBAC; and to my utter shock I preferred the C-Section!
