Watching The Nutcracker ballet is an annual family tradition for so many during the holidays. Following Clara’s adventures as she battles the giant Rat King and transforms her Nutcracker doll into a Prince. Watching as they visit a magical land of dancing snowflakes, a Sugar Plum Fairy, and a celebration that takes her around the world in a single night. But what about little ones who love the story, but aren’t yet ready to sit through the full length show?
The Orlando Ballet has the answer with their Family Series! The Orlando Ballet’s Family Series events are limited engagement shows geared toward younger audiences and typically take place earlier in the day. They feature full company members, as well as the same sets and costumes of the full length Mainstage production. Now even the littlest ballet fans can see their favorites come to life on stage! Additionally, some performances include family-friendly activities, story-telling and an opportunity to take pictures with the characters of the story prior to the performance.
