Ahhhhh… Thanksgiving is finally among us! A day filled with family, food, laughter, the Macy’s Parade and of course, football. Quickly followed by Black Friday SHOPPING!!!! {I am totally against shopping on Thanksgiving Day, but hey, that’s just me.} And then, there’s Small Business Saturday®. I’m sure by now you have heard of Small Business Saturday!
Small Business Saturday® is an American shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.
This year, Small Business Saturday® is November 25th!
Fun Fact: The first Small Business Saturday was observed in Roslindale Village, Massachusetts on November 27, 2010.
It is a counterpart to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and now #GivingTuesday. Originally sponsored by American Express corporation, Small Business Saturday® encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. Small Business Saturday® is now a registered trademark of American Express corporation.

You can also become a Neighborhood Champion- organizations interested in helping bring small businesses and shoppers together this Small Business Saturday®.
