Halloween is almost here, mamas! Considering I was a bum mum and didn’t do a darn thing last year, I am crazy excited about dressing my toddler up this year. Now that she can walk, I’m thinking dressing her up in a costume will be a lot more fun. Thanks to Spirit Halloween, I was provided with a gift card to check out some of the offerings at one of their Orlando area locations.

Outside of Spirit Halloween

Spirit Halloween has over 10 locations between Orange City and Kissimmee and is THE one-stop-shop for all of your Halloween costumes and party needs. And I know you’re all “But isn’t it a little early for Halloween shopping?” The answer is NO! Things are likely to get a little crazy the closer we get to Halloween so the early you can shop, the better.

Spirit Halloween has everything from costumes for infants, kids, women and men to party accessories, goodies for your Trick-or-Treaters and outdoor decor. And y’all… I am warning you now. If you are one of those easily scared people, stay far away from the outdoor decor area because while I love The Walking Dead, I just about lost it when I stumbled upon this lovely lady.

The store gives you the chance to test out these decorations and because I don’t mind peeing on myself, I just had to go around presenting myself to nightmares. Playing the demos is an adventure alone but if you came ready to scoop a costume up for your kiddos, Spirit Halloween has you covered. Because they are the largest Halloween specialty retailer in the country, you can guarantee that they will have the popular costumes from the Disney’s Frozen characters to superheroes, The Walking Dead and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

And let’s not forget the wall of makeup and props…

Fake teeth at Spirit Halloween

I’ll spare you the selfie I took rockin’ a hot pink wig but really the selections just never ended. I know this place will be a madhouse the day before Halloween simply because they seem to carry many specialty items that you will not be able to find in other stores. I mean, you can only find fake blood in so many places. Spirit Halloween is definitely in the… Halloween spirit. See what I did there?

But Spirit Halloween is more than just a retail location for Halloween goodies. The store also has a program called Spirit of Children. This program helps bring fun to children in hospitals who normally would not get a chance to join in the Halloween festivities. Orlando area hospitals including Arnold Palmer Hospital will benefit from the funds raised. At each store, shoppers are able to donate as little as $1. Spirit of Children has a goal to raise $5.2 million nationally, bringing its total contribution to $21 million and I’m thinking it is possible! I donated and will donate again because I will certainly be visiting again before Halloween.

Because they want to get you in the spirit, ONE lucky Orlando Moms Blog reader will get the chance to win a $25 gift card!

  1. My daughter decided she will be a zombie prom queen this year. We already bought her costume from the Oviedo location and the girl who helped us (I wish I remembered her name) was so nice and very helpful. She offered a lot of different ideas to help us put the costume together. My bday is Oct 31st and I still need a costume! I LOVE HALLOWEEN (obviously)!!

  2. It’s my son’s first Halloween and we have a family Frankenstein theme that we really need costumes for! Please help.

  3. My daughter is only one. She loves Barney but she’ll want to be anything if having fun is involved :). I want her to be a bumblebee.
